My paternal great grandfather, Jacob Isbister, was a stone mason who came to Peterborough from Orkney. I grew up in the homestead with it's magnificent drystone cellar and stucco exterior. <br />I used to drive through Durham County visiting relatives. It breaks my heart to think that many historical buildings are being wiped out for the 407 expansion and the airport that just can't get off the ground.
